Crucial details of Lookman to Inter transfer revealed

Inter and Atalanta are set to enter advanced discussions over Lookman’s transfer in the coming weeks, with Inter working to lower Atalanta’s €50 million asking price.

The Milan-based club is reportedly looking to offer €45 million plus €5 million in bonuses, potentially enough to meet Atalanta’s demands.

The bonuses are expected to play a key role in the negotiation process, with objectives like European qualification or Lookman’s individual achievements, such as goals and assists, being tied to these add-ons.

The deal will also be complicated by a sell-on clause, which is set at 10% for capital gains up to €20 million and 15% for any amount exceeding this threshold, due to RB Leipzig’s involvement in Lookman’s sale.

Despite a lucrative offer from Serie A rivals Napoli, Lookman has made it clear that his future lies with Inter Milan.

Napoli, under the guidance of manager Antonio Conte, reportedly offered a €5 million per year contract to entice Lookman to move to Naples. However, the 26-year-old winger rejected the offer in favour of a move to the Nerazzurri, with whom he has reportedly already reached a verbal agreement.

His deal with Inter is expected to run until 2030, with the potential to rise to €5 million annually. Lookman’s determination to join Inter, combined with his strong performances for Atalanta, signals his desire to take the next step in his career with a more competitive team.
