Clara Chia Martí: 7 things to know about the pretty student who snatched Gerard Piqué from Shakira

Following Gerard Pique’s messy split from Colombian singer Shakira, the former Barcelona defender has moved on with another lady known as Clara Chia.

In June 2022, Shakira and Pique released a joint statement via the singer’s publicity team that her 11-year relationship with the former Manchester United centre-back was over.

"We regret to confirm that we are separating," the statement read. 

The news came following reports of Pique’s infidelity towards the mother of his two sons, Milan and Sasha.

Shakira who has now moved on from Pique following their separation seems to be enjoying life in her new home in Miami, Florida.

The 46-year-old multi-award-winning Latin pop star has already been linked with several public figures including Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton and Hollywood movie star Tom Cruise.

Pique and his new girlfriend Clara Chia,  have also seen their relationship thrive amid the constant trolls from netizens.

Pique is currently dating a student known as Clara Chia Marti.

The couple were first spotted together while attending the Summerfest Cerdanya music festival. 

Photos published by the Daily Mail showed the duo standing in the crowd together while Piqué wrapped his arm around Marti as she leaned in for a passionate kiss.

According to reports, Marti works for Gerard’s movie and TV production company, Kosmos.

Pique is listed on the company’s webpage as founder, CEO and president, as well as chairman of the board of directors.

Clara Chia Marti handles special events, although she is still a student studying public relations, as per The Sun.

Shortly after Piqué and Marti were first spotted in public together, they were also spotted a wedding in Catalonia, Spain. 

The couple were seen walking arm-in-arm and sharing a laugh with one another while also mingling with other guests in attendance.

Despite only being together for less than a year, Marti and Piqué have travelled together several times. 

In addition to outings in Spain, the couple have also travelled to spend time together in Czech Republic and France. 

The Daily Mail reported that the couple was joined by some members of Pique’s family during their trip to the Czech Republic.

The couple were seen alongside Piqué's brother Marc and his wife Maria while leaving a Marriott hotel in Prague.

While in France, Piqué his girlfriend Marti were spotted in the beautiful city of Paris, where  sightseeing while riding electric scooters with some friends.

Piqué shared a photo of him and his girlfriend Clara Chai Marti on Instagram on January 25, 2023, just days after the release of "BZRP Music Session #53", a song belived to be a diss track by Pique’s ex Shakira.

The former Barcelona star shared a selfie cosying up with his new girlfriend.

While he didn't leave a caption along with the snap, the post sparked many reactions on social media.

In January 2023, Piqué's ex Shakira dropped her song "BZRP Music Session #53," where she seemingly threw shade at Piqué and his new girlfriend Clara Chai.

 In addition to Shakira's lyrics calling her former relationship a "disappointment" and referencing a person who always gave her their "worst version," she sang that she wishes she had ended the relationship sooner.

A month later, Shakira released another track, "TQG," which talked about watching a former lover move on.

"Seeing you with the new one hurt me…. But I'm already set by myself," Shakira sings, making a reference Piqué's new relationship with Clara Chia Marti.

 "You are no longer welcome here….I saw that your girlfriend threw at me… It doesn't make me angry, I laugh."

Shakira then mentions in the song that her ex's "new baby" should know that she doesn't "compete for men."

As of May 2023, Gerard Pique is 36 years old while Clara Chai is 23.

Clara Marti has kept the details of her private life away from the public since rumours of her relationship with Gerard Pique made the rounds in the media.

As of June 2023, Clara Chia has five posts and about 42.5K followers on her Instagram page, one of which is Piqué.
