Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Lyon and France Under-21s international Rayan Cherki.
The Blues are overhauling the squad this summer to hand new manager Mauricio Pochettino enough ammunition to head into next season. Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have already arrived from Villarreal and Leipzig to bolster the Blues attack but the new boss wants one more offensive addition.
Chelsea want Cherki
Mason Mount has agreed to join Manchester United and his absence will leave a gaping hole in the Blues midfield which will need to be filled. Cherki, 19, has been impressive with his performances at the Under-21s European Championship, helping France reach the quarter-finals - where they will face Mykhailo Mudryk's Ukraine on Sunday.
According to Football London, the Blues are exploring a move for a player Zinedine Zidane wanted to sign for Real Madrid a few years back and has spoken very highly of.
Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital are keen on signing some of the best young players in world football and have identified Cherki as an ideal signing.
