Chelsea confirm Christopher Nkunku signing from RB Leipzig

Christopher Nkunku is officially joining Chelsea from RB Leipzig after the Premier League side agreed to trigger his £51m release clause.

"I am incredibly happy to be joining Chelsea," said Nkunku, who came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth system.

"A big effort was made to bring me to the club and I am looking forward to meeting my new coach and team-mates and showing the Chelsea supporters what I can do on the pitch."

Nkunku was once again influential for Leipzig in the Bundesliga last season scoring 16 goals and providing six assists in 25 appearances.
