Super Eagles defender Calvin Bassey was in the frame for both of Tottenham's goals in Fulham's 2-0 defeat to Ange Postecoglou's side.
Spurs returned to the top of the Premier League table thanks to the London derby victory over Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, thanks to goals from Heung Min Son and James Maddison.
How it happened
Calvin Bassey started on the right side of a defensive pairing with Tim Ream, while Alex Iwobi started from the bench.
Tottenham started brilliantly, creating a number of chances, but they failed to break the deadlock until the 36th minute of the match.
Tottenham pounced on a poor pass from Bassey, leading to a goalscoring chance for the club’s captain, Son, who made no mistake firing past Bernd Leno.
