CAF snubs Nnadozie again as Super Falcons stars dominate Africa Women's XI

Nigerian women's football was a big winner during the CAF Awards gala night, as in addition to winning the Team of the Year, four Super Falcons players featured in the CAF XI, the joint-most with South Africa. 

Last year, the Bayana Bayana dominated the team, with five representatives to Nigeria’s three. The Nigerian women’s team had one more player this year, and the South Africans had one less. 

Despite winning the Goalkeeper of the Year Award for consecutive editions, Chiamaka Nnadozie was snubbed for the second year running in the Women's XI, with South Africa’s Andile Dlamini beating her to the chase on both occasions.  

Super Falcons duo Osinachi Ohale and Michelle Alozie retained their places from last year in the backline and were joined by Bayana Bayana’s Karabo Dlamini. 

Rasheedat Ajibade got a well-deserved spot in midfield and was joined by South African duo Linda Mothalo and Lebohang Ramalepe and Atlas Lioness’s Ghizlane Chebbak. 

Oshoala started in attack again, and like last year, was partnered with Zambia's Barbra Banda and Malawi’s Tabitha Chawinga.
