Arsenal faced a double injury blow during their Premier League win against newly-promoted Leeds United on Saturday, with Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard forced off with worrying injuries.

Mikel Arteta expressed concern post-match, saying, “I think we have learned a lesson from last season and the squad you need right now...we have so many games anything can happen.

"It happened to two of our most important players. We already lost Kai [Havertz], so we are going to need everyone at their best. I haven’t spoken to the doctor yet, but [with] Bukayo took him off, for sure it looks something that is significant.”

The Gunners led 2-0 at halftime against the newly promoted side, but Odegaard’s 38th-minute withdrawal marred the first half.

Early in the second half, Saka, who scored Arsenal’s second goal, hobbled off with a left leg injury, looking distressed as he headed down the tunnel.
