Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes said that he was not interested in discussing his future at the moment, at least until after the World Cup.
The 31-year-old was the subject of an incredible bid from Al-Hilal last summer. However, he rejected it, opting to remain with the Red Devils. The suitors stay on the prowl, but Bruno is unwilling to listen.
Bruno addresses his future
According to the BBC, Fernandes’s current contract at Manchester United, which is set to expire in 2027, contains a release clause of £56.68m (€65m), on the provision that it is triggered early enough.
Bruno was asked about the possibility of leaving Manchester United in a recent interview, and he insisted that his feet were not itchy and that he would only consider an exit after next year's World Cup.
"As I've always said, I feel good here. I want to achieve my dreams still," he said, per the BBC.
"I can't talk for the club. I've seen a lot of people talking that I had an agreement to go already next season. If the club has done that agreement, it wasn't made with me. I haven't spoken with anyone.
"My agent also knows how I work. If he wants to talk to me, it will be after the World Cup. Until then, I won't speak to anyone."
Meanwhile, Bruno led Manchester United to their third straight victory earlier today, in the 4-2 win against Brighton. They are experiencing their best run of form under Ruben Amorim.
