Despite the travel chaos, Arsenal heads into the game with the opportunity to claim the top spot in the Premier League table with a win, ahead of Liverpool's clash with Manchester United on Sunday.

Delays are anticipated to persist until the end of the day, prompting Brighton to issue a warning via X, "There is disruption on the train lines today between Haywards Heath and Brighton due to a landslide which means some lines are closed.

“Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised and disruption is expected until the end of the day. 

“We advise fans travelling to today’s game to leave early and follow @SouthernRailUK for updates."

National Rail has also confirmed the disruptions, as reported by the Sun, stating, "Where possible, some trains will divert to run via Horsham and the West Coast.
