Bologna defender says Osimhen is 'really annoying' after Serie A clash against Napoli

Bologna defender Riccardo Calafiori described Super Eagles and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen as annoying to defend against.

In a thrilling encounter at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Saturday, Bologna defeated Napoli 2-0 to severely dent their hopes of playing in Europe next season.

Napoli key man Victor Osimhen, struggled to find his shooting boots, largely thanks to a standout defensive effort from Bologna's Riccardo Calafiori.

Osimhen annoying to play against

Calafiori and Osimhen engaged in a fierce battle throughout the game, with the Bologna defender successfully limiting the Nigerian international to just one shot on target.

In a candid admission after the game, Calafiori acknowledged that Osimhen is one of the toughest to defend against.

Speaking to DAZN via Napoli Magazine, the defender said:

“We played a very good match.

"We have to continue like this and I had to maintain concentration against Osimhen who is really annoying.”

Osimhen has scored 17 goals in 30 appearances for Napoli this season and is expected to leave the club this summer, with PSG, and Chelsea strongly linked.
