‘Be humble KID’ - Amad mocks Arsenal on social media after Man United's victory at the Emirates
Sunday evening's dramatic 3-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium saw the Red Devils secure a win, significantly slowing down their opponent's title charge.
The victory, which saw United come from a goal down, marked a second consecutive win under interim manager Michael Carrick.
For Arsenal, the result is a significant setback in their title aspirations, leaving them without a Premier League victory in their last three matches.
Diallo mocks Arsenal
Diallo, who played 88 minutes of the contest, engaged with a fan on social media who had confidently predicted a 4-0 win for the Gunners.
The United star initially replied, "Enjoy KID 😉". When the supporter responded by warning Diallo not to tweet at him again, the winger continued the exchange. "Your only hope is corner🤣," he posted, adding, "Be humble KID 🤫".
Diallo's "humble" remark appeared to be a direct reference to a recent trend involving Arsenal fans and Manchester City's Erling Haaland.
The phrase gained traction last season when Haaland told Arsenal defender Gabriel to "stay humble" during a match.
In a subsequent fixture, which Arsenal won 5-1, the home fans and players turned the phrase back on the Norwegian striker.
Following the loss, the Gunners failed to get back to seven points above their title rivals on the Premier League table.
With the point gap now reduced to four points, Arsenal will need to avoid another defeat when they travel to face Leeds United.
