Barcelona lose two key players in draw at Athletic Club

Barcelona missed the chance to capitalise on Real Madrid's slip up at Valencia as they were held to draw by Athletic Club.

The Blaugrana travelled to the Basque region of the country following their impressive victory against Getafe last week.

However, they failed to carry the momentum into the match at San Mames, as they regressed into the drab performance that has somewhat become typical of them this season.

Despite failing to capitalise on slip-ups from Real Madrid and Girona, the result was not the worst news for Barcelona on the evening, as they lost Frenkie de Jong and Pedro to seemingly serious injuries.
