Ballon d'Or re-union? Luka Modric's next club revealed after Real Madrid exit
Inter Miami and Lionel Messi have struggled recently, with just 2 wins from their last 10 games.
The MLS club are now looking to turn things around and support their Argentine star by targeting a major signing.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Inter Miami are preparing an offer for Real Madrid legend Luka Modric, who will become a free agent after confirming he’ll leave the Spanish club at the end of the 2024–25 season.
The Florida-based club sees the 39-year-old Croatian midfielder as a key addition and is reportedly ready to offer him a one-year deal through July 2026, worth around $2.5 million.
This move would allow Modric, a former Ballon d'Or winner, team up with Messi, who has won the award 8 times, as well as to stay in top shape for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with Croatia.
As Real Madrid shifts toward a new era under incoming manager Xabi Alonso, several club icons, including Carlo Ancelotti, Lucas Vázquez, and Modric, are set to depart.
Modric’s contract runs until June 30, 2025, meaning he’ll play in the Club World Cup with Madrid before any potential move to Inter Miami.
