Mijatović reveals Modrić's potential next destination: "Don't be surprised"
Despite Luka Modrić being officially prepared to accept a reduced salary and a rotational role at Real Madrid, the club opted not to offer him a new contract.
He will play his last La Liga game for Real Madrid this weekend. Although he will be part of the squad for the Club World Cup in June, the club made the decision this week not to offer the Croatian a new contract.
This decision stems from Real Madrid's intention to completely rebuild the team, leaving no room for the veteran 40-year-old midfielder.
Mijatović reveals Modric next destination
Predrag Mijatović, former Real Madrid player and sporting director, and current member of Partizan's interim working group, commented on Modrić's next career move:
"I know Luka very well, his hunger... He won't stay in Spain, but don't be surprised if he ends up in England, Italy, or Germany. Many clubs want him. I think he will stay in Europe. He still wants to compete." - Predrag Mijatović, said as reported on X.
🚨 Pedja Mijatovic (close to Luka Modric): "I believe that Luka will keep playing in EUROPE.

The veteran Croatian midfielder's next destination remains to be seen, having been linked to other clubs.
Modrić recently bid farewell to the club where he spent 13 years in an emotional social media post. He made 383 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 30 goals.
He joins legendary manager Carlo Ancelotti, who led Real Madrid to winning the 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League, in leaving Santiago Bernabeu.
