Ademola Lookman has reportedly returned to training after a disappointing end to a two-week strike, which failed to yield the desired move to Inter.

The 27-year-old was keen on joining the Nerazzurri after reaching an agreement on personal terms on a five-year deal worth 4.5 million annually. However, Inter failed to match Atalanta's €50 million ask, refusing to go beyond the €45 million package in their second bid.

The Nigerian star took drastic steps to force the move, submitting a transfer request and a public statement, even going on strike. However, Atalanta refused to budge, and Inter gave up. He has now returned to training camp, according to reports.

Two weeks ago, the Nigerian cleared his locker from the camp and said goodbye to his teammates. After the failed move, Italian publications are reporting that he has returned to camp and met with the club.

Lookman arrived on time but was the last player to reach training, per the reports. He then held a brief meeting with the club, where he was informed he would train individually with a designated trainer for the rest of the transfer window.

The fine to be meted out against him, as well as other punishments like salary deductions,   will be expected to be addressed at a later date.
