Arsenal vs Wolves: Saka makes interesting admission after 2 own goals inspire win
Arsenal's captain, Bukayo Saka, has admitted that they needed luck to beat Wolves, adding that their struggle in the clash against the Premier League's basement side made for a frustrating outing.
The Gunners beat Wolves 2–1 at the Emirates to further their Premier League title ambitions. However, the game between first and last on the Premier League table betrayed the pre-match analysis and forecasts, as the Gunners struggled, needing two own goals to breach Rob Edwards’ side.
What Saka said
Mikel Arteta's side did not find the back of the net until the 70th minute, when a fortuitous ricochet off Wolves’ goalkeeper San Johnstone handed them the lead.
However, Arsenal substitute Tolu Arokodare equalised on the 90th-minute mark, sparking fears amid the recent defeat at Villa Park to a late Emi Buendia goal. Another own goal was to the rescue, however, with a Saka cross turned in by Yerson Mosquera.

Speaking after the match, Saka admitted that the result was fortuitous, but he was happy for the win, as they extended their winning run at the Emirates to nine matches.
"Yes, sometimes you need it [luck]. Today, it went our way,” he said, per the BBC. "We will take the points and move forward. We won't know until May, but we can be happy tonight that we left with three points.
"Coming to the Emirates, we want to make the teams know that it is going to be tough here and it is not going to be an easy game.
"It was frustrating at times, I'll be honest. The message to the boys was to stay patient and trying things – in the end we got our reward. It is high [morale] and we have a break now up until next week."
