Nigerians took to social media to vent their frustrations about Osimhen after he missed three good chances to put Nigeria ahead.

The Galatasaray star got his first chance of the game in the first 10 minutes from a beautiful cross from Akor Adams, leaving him with a free header, but he leapt high and headed the ball.

He got the second chance of the game from a corner kick but failed to head it in and shortly after, he got his third chance, another header, but still could not convert.

Osimhen respond to fans with a goal

Fans were displeased with Osimhen in the first half after several missed opportunities to get his team in front.

One fan said, “Osimhen has missed like 4 chances in 30 minutes. Are we sure this brother is world-class?”

However, just before the half-time break, the former African Best Player got his head to Ademola Lookman’s cross to give Nigeria the lead.

Nigerian fans had to eat their words on social media immediately after seeing Osimhen get the first goal for Nigeria.
