A strong performance in Morocco is widely seen as an opportunity to rebuild confidence and reconnect with the fans.

The team's campaign kicks off against Tanzania on Tuesday, December 23, followed by a clash with Tunisia on December 27 and a final group match against Uganda on December 30.

This move marks a shift in focus to the tournament itself, with head coach Eric Chelle now having his full squad, including star striker Victor Osimhen, at his disposal.

Fès will serve as Nigeria's base for the group stage, where they have been drawn into Group C with Tanzania, Tunisia, and Uganda. All of the Super Eagles' group fixtures will be held at the Complexe Sportif de Fès.

Nigeria is aiming for its fourth continental title, having previously won the Africa Cup of Nations in 1980, 1994, and most recently in 2013.
