The Super Eagles were ranked the 38th best nation in the November ranking, and also maintained the same position in the December ranking released by the world football governing body on Monday.
This latest ranking puts the Super Eagles amongst the top five nations at the ongoing AFCON in Morocco. The three-time African champions are ahead of the likes of South Africa, Cameroon, DR Congo and Group C opponents.
Only Morocco (11), Senegal (19), Algeria (34) and Egypt (35) are ahead of Eric Chelle’s Super Eagles on the continent.
The Super Eagles, however, have the opportunity to move up in the next ranking, depending on how far they go at AFCON 2025.
