Ackeem Blake and Maia Mccoy impress at ISTAF Berlin
The men's and women's 100m at the ISTAF Berlin lived up to expectations as one of the highlights, with Ackeem Blake and Maia Mccoy winning in impressive times.
In the men's 100m, Jamaica's Blake bounced back to domineering form in a respectable 10.05s (0.0) as German Champion Owen Ansah finished second in 10.18s, while Nigerian speedster Udodi Onwuzurike was third in 10.22s.

His victory backs up his build-up towards the World Championships in September, having finished third at the Jamaican Championships behind Kishane Thompson and Oblique Seville to qualify for Tokyo.
Meanwhile, Mccoy is one to watchout for and can cause a stunning upset at the US Championships next weekend as her past two races have propelled her in this direction.
At the Raiffeisen Austrian Open, the rising sprint star clocked her first career sub-11s clocking with a blistering 10.96s. Backing this up to prove it wasn't a fluke, Mccoy ran another blazing 11.01s (-0.1) to win the women's 100m in Berlin, which under favourable conditions will be under the 11-seconds mark.

This proves Mccoy is in her best shape ahead of the US Championships and is capable of picking a spot on the American team to the World Championships in Tokyo.
