A provisional 28-man team was picked by Zimbabwean head coach Baltemar Brito for the country's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Nigeria and Rwanda.
Coach Brito has invited nine defenders, eight forwards, seven midfielders, and four goalkeepers for the two games
Two of the goalkeepers are Martin Mapisa of FC Malaga City in Spain's lower level and Marley Tavaziva of Brentford City.
The team's top defenders are Jordan Zemura of Udinese Calcio and Tivonge Rushesha of Reading, while the midfield is led by Marshall Munetsi of Stade Reims and Isaac Mabaya, a promising player from Liverpool.
Zimbabwe's offensive line will be led by Tawanda Maswanhise of Leicester City and Tino Kadewere of Olympique Lyon, among others.

Super Eagles to play Zimbabwe in Rwanda
The Super Eagles' entourage will land in Rwanda, Zimbabwe's adopted country, early on Saturday in preparation for their matchup with the Warriors of Zimbabwe on Day 2 of the African qualification series for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
A chartered airplane carrying the players' and officials' group will take out from Victor Attah International Airport at midnight and land in Kigali at dawn. From there, they will drive for two hours to Butare, the location of the match (Huye Stadium).
Although Huye Stadium, which holds 20,000 spectators, features artificial turf, the Eagles have decided as a team not to let it disturb them in their pursuit of the most points possible.
It was planned that the Eagles should travel into Rwanda, hold their official training session there, and play the match before the strange climate started to take a toll as Rwanda was the destination of the high-altitude plane.
Time and Where to watch Super Eagles vs Zimbabwe
Huye Stadium will host the game between the Eagles and the Warriors at 3 p.m. Rwandan time (1 p.m. Nigerian time).
If the Super Eagles win on Sunday, they will have four points and one-fifth of the campaign remaining.
The Super Eagles are traveling to the enormous house party in the US, Mexico, and Canada in 2026, and this game is the first stop on their route.
The game will start at 2 PM Nigerian time and be broadcast on FIFA PLUS and Supersport on DSTV.
