Super Eagles star Ademola Lookman has sparked buzz on social media after being spotted sharing a heartfelt exchange with Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, Pulse Sports reports.

The duo, both riding the crest of massive career highs, met in Lagos recently, in a moment that brought together the reigning CAF African Player of the Year and the most-followed Nigerian celebrity on the planet.

Captured in a now-viral video, Lookman and Davido can be seen laughing and embracing as Davido showered praise on the 27-year-old Atalanta forward for his historic achievement.

“OBO” himself, who commands a staggering social media army of over 67 million followers, couldn’t hide his excitement at the presence of the reigning African best.

His visit comes on the heels of an impressive run that earned him a spot in WhoScored’s Serie A Team of the Season, and most notably, the CAF Player of the Year crown—an award last won by his Super Eagles teammate Victor Osimhen in 2023.

The London-born Nigerian forward returned to Lagos with more than just a holiday in mind.

He brought along his CAF award, holding it aloft in several fan-captured photos as a symbol of pride and representation.

Pulse Sports has learned that Lookman’s Lagos trip could be part of wider commercial engagements and a potential farewell tour before what is expected to be a big summer transfer window for the Atalanta star.

Lookman is currently the subject of transfer speculation as reports suggest he is expected to depart the club this summer.
