According to reports, Wissam Ben Yedder is the latest French star to be charged with rape after two women aged 19 and 20 reportedly accused him of sexual assault.
France international Wissam Ben Yedder has been charged along with his younger brother for alleged rape.
This is according to information published today by the Nice Matin portal based on sources from the Nice prosecutor's office.
The 32-year-old AS Monaco striker was reportedly charged with rape, attempted rape and sexual assault on Thursday, before a court of instruction in Nice after two women aged 19 and 20 accused him and his brother of allegedly forcing them to have sex during a party in Beausoleil on July 10.

Jean-Philippe Navarre, the deputy prosecutor of Nice, also confirmed to the aforementioned media that a judicial investigation has already been opened for these charges.
Ben Yedder slapped with bail worth nearly 1 million euros amid rape charges
The AS Monaco forward has been placed under judicial disposition and the French authorities are reportedly asking for a bail of 900,000 euros as per a report from Darios AS.

Ben Yedder made his professional football debut in Toulouse, where he totalled 71 goals in 174 games for them, surpassing André-Pierre Gignac as their greatest league scorer of the 21st century before joining Sevilla in 2016.
With Sevilla, Ben Yedder established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in LALIGA EA SPORTS, scoring 70 goals in 138 games in three seasons before going ahead to join Monaco in 2019, and winning the Ligue 1 top scorer in his first season back.
