The wife of Achraf Hakimi has broken her silence for the first time since the PSG and Morocco wingback was charged with rape.
Achraf Hakimi’s wife, Hiba Abouk, has finally spoken out for the first time since her husband was officially charged with rape.
Abouk recently broke her silence to show support to victims of sexual abuse and assault as her husband and Paris Saint Germain defender is currently accused of the crime.
Earlier this month, Hakimi was charged with rape and is currently being investigated by French authorities.

Pulse Sports Nigeria earlier reported in late February, that a 24-year-old woman from Fontenay-sous-Bois in the Parisian suburbs went to a local police station claiming that she had been raped by the Moroccan international, per Le Parisien.

Achraf Hakimi: PSG star fingered in rape allegations
Achraf Hakimi is reportedly accused of rape against a 23-year-old lady.
However, even though the woman did not want to press charges, the prosecutor’s office decided to take up the case because of the player’s social status.
Meanwhile, Hakimi’s lawyer and representative, Fanny Colin, has since denied all the accusations, against the player.
“The accusations are false. He is calm and is making himself available to the authorities”, Colin said.

But PSG are yet to release an official statement on the incident amid ongoing investigations,
And a month after the alleged incident, Hakimi’s wife Hiba Abouk who has since deleted some photos of herself and the PSG star from her social media has now broken her silence.

Abouk released a statement on Monday, March 27, via her official Instagram account and began by defending her silence on the matter, before going ahead to open up on her divorce plans.
“After having taken the decision to legally separate and to stop living together whilst awaiting the divorce procedure, which you can imagine, on top of the pain brought about by the separation, as well as having to accept the sadness that a failed project, which I gave my body and soul, brings, I was supposed to face up to this disgraceful act? I needed time to come to terms with this shock,” she said in the statement as first reported by the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

“One must trust the legal process, especially considering the gravity of the accusation. Nonetheless, in my life, I always have been, and always will be, on the side of victims,” she added.
The 36-year-old Spanish actress concluded her message by calling for her private life, and that of her children, to be respected at this time given the “delicate circumstances.”
Pulse Sports earlier reported that Hakimi (24) and his Tunisian wife have reportedly been estranged for some time, and were on the verge of separation.
And Hiba Abouk, in her recent interview confirmed that the couple had been processing their separation for weeks, way before the latest allegations levelled against the Morocco star.
