Background of Kamaru Usman and Samirah
This is not the first viral interaction between Usman and his daughter Samirah.
When teammate Justin Gaethje head-kicked Dustin Poirier into oblivion at UFC 291, Kamaru Usman could not contain his joy.
After the fight, Usman's daughter can be seen celebrating with Gaethje's BMF belt.
Usman also once revealed on the Thanalysis podcast hosted by Greek-Nigerian professional basketball player for the Milwaukee Bucks, Rotimi "Thanasis" Antetokounmpo, that the 17 million naira he earned from his first major UFC win was what he needed to sort out his issues at the time.
Usman stated that he was living with his friend and was expecting a daughter during his early UFC days.
When he suffered a head-kick knock-out loss to English professional mixed martial artist Leon Edwards in the main event of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 278 last August, in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States of America.
