Adesanya appeared to accept that Du Plessis' now holds the title as the "King of Africa," implying that they may have moved past the disagreement after the fight.

Kamaru Usman on Israel Adesanya losing to Dricus Du Plessis

Former UFC welterweight champion the Nigerian Nightmare Kamaru Usman, in a recent episode of the Pound for Pound podcast with fellow UFC fighter Henry Cejudo talked about the fight between Adesanya and Du Plessis.

According to Usman, Adesanya had to deal with Du Plessis who has an awkward style.

He said, "When he throws those big shots those legs are not on the ground.

"This guy must have some power because those legs are not planted on the ground.

" He is almost leaping into the shot. While Israel was hurt, when you're hurt you're not firing that fast to understand that you need to defend the next move the next sequence,

"Israel reacted late, to figure out I'm in a bad position, I need to look for the hand, it's not there, next thing he is tapping."

After the fight, the sudden transformation from fierce rivals to friends from Adesanya and Du Plessis has baffled both MMA fans and the community.

Although Du Plessis appreciated Adesanya's professional achievements in the sport, he revealed after the fight that he still didn't like him personally.
