Rikke Hermine has reacted on social media after Bayer Leverkusen were humbled in the Europa League final.
Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Victor Boniface lost out on a chance to win a continental trophy.
Having finished as last season’s top scorer, the Bayer Leverkusen forward was powerless to stop his Super Eagles teammate and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, from winning the Europa League for the Italians.
Lookman was a thorn in the flesh of Xabi Alonso’s team on Wednesday night, at the Dublin Arena, as Atalanta hammered Leverkusen 3-0 to become the 2023/24 Europa League champions.

Ademola Lookman and Atalanta became the first team to beat Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023/24 season after a historic night in the UEL final.
A first half brace for Lookman put Atalanta in a comfortable position as there were expectations of a comeback from the Germans, as they have so often done this season.
However, it was not to be as the Super Eagles winger landed a hammer blow in the 75th minute to bag a hat-trick and put the game beyond the reach of the Germans, holding on to win their first ever major title in 62 years and their first ever European title in history.

Following the disappointing result for Xabi Alonso’s team who saw their unbeaten streak ended on Wednesday night, Rikke Hermine Jensen, the girlfriend of Leverkusen star Victor Boniface, took to social media to react.
Posting a downcast photo of the 23-year-old Nigerian striker on her Instagram stories, the Norwegian influencer captioned: “Proud of you always boss!” before going on to tell him to “trust gods timing.”

The result on Wednesday night also meant that Atalanta coach, Gian Piero Gasperini ended Xabi Alonso’s undefeated run as head coach of Bayer Leverkusen (51) - the longest unbeaten run in top-flight European football since the introduction of UEFA club competitions.

Boniface will now move on from the Europa League disappointment and turn his attention to Leverkusen’s final against FC Kaiserslautern on Saturday, May 25, at the Olympiastadion Berlin.
