Man City legend Ilkay Gundogan and wife Sara announce the birth of their 2nd child amid Osimhen links

It’s double the joy for Manchester City star Ilkay Gündogan and his wife, Sara.

The couple has just welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Ella, as confirmed by Sara in an Instagram post to her 924,000 followers.

 Sharing an adorable snap of their newborn, she captioned it: “Our little princess. ELLA Gundogan.”

The arrival of baby Ella comes nearly two years after the birth of their first child, Kais, in March 2023.

 The news of their growing family was first announced shortly after Gündogan’s return to Manchester City following his debut season at Barcelona. 

However, as the couple celebrates this new chapter, speculation continues to swirl about the German midfielder’s future.

While Gündogan enjoys precious family moments, his football career remains a hot topic. 

With his contract expiring and his role at Man City coming under scrutiny, Turkish giants Galatasaray are reportedly making a strong push to sign him.

According to Fanatik, Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has personally contacted the City legend, presenting an offer that guarantees him a key role in the team.

The project is already attracting big names, with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen currently leading the club’s scoring charts on loan from Napoli.

Reports from Turkey suggest Galatasaray is intensifying efforts to lure the German-Turkish star back to his roots, a move that could see him linking up with Osimhen in Istanbul.

At 34, Gündogan is at a crossroads. 

While he still boasts the quality and experience to compete at the highest level, Man City’s competitive midfield has seen his playing time diminish.
