Sunday Oliseh has sent a warning to Victor Osimhen as he prepares for a return to Galatasaray on a permanent basis.

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has urged Victor Osimhen to ditch his impending move to Galatasaray for a chance to play in the Premier League.

Oliseh urges Osimhen to ditch Galatasaray move

Osimhen’s future has been the biggest subject of discussion in this year’s summer transfer window, with the Nigerian international expected to leave Napoli.

While a host of clubs are reportedly interested in the Nigerian’s services, Osimhen appears to be keen on only a move to Galatasaray, where he spent last season on loan, scoring 26 goals to help the side win the Turkish League.

After rejecting multiple proposals, including a lucrative offer from Al-Hilal, Osimhen is now reportedly heading close to returning to Galatasaray permanently after the Turkish club agreed to pay his release clause of €75m (₦134 billion).

However, Oliseh has warned the former Lille man against the move, saying he risks having a career full of regret if he does not move to the Premier League to join either Arsenal or Manchester United.

The former Juventus midfielder revealed this in a post that was shared on his X (Twitter) account.

“Victor Osihmen is at a very delicate crossroad. He needs to find his way to the premier league in a hurry or he risks so much regret! Man United and Arsenal need this player if only.....,” Oliseh said in his post.

It is very unlikely that Osimhen will take Oliseh’s advice as he has already agreed personal terms with Galatasaray.

The only stumbling block to the move was the release clause, which the Turkish champions have now agreed to pay.

Premier League clubs stay clear of Osimhen

While Oliseh wants Osimhen to move to England, Premier League clubs did not submit an official bid to sign the Super Eagles star.

Although the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd could have signed him, none showed enough commitment to sign the Nigerian striker.

Chelsea have already signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro to solve their attacking issues, while Arsenal are on the verge of completing a move for Viktor Gyökeres.
