A leading side in Serie A reportedly have an ambitious plan to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting this summer.

Juventus are reportedly formulating a comprehensive strategy to secure Viktor Gyokeres from Portuguese giants Sporting Lisbon.

Gyokeres, who has scored an astonishing 97 goals in two seasons, including 54 in 2024-25 alone, is reportedly seen as the solution to the Igor Tudor team's attacking challenges and a statement of intent for the Old Lady’s renewed ambition.

According to reports in Italy, the Bianconeri have identified eight players to let go, including rumoured Arsenal target Dusan Vlahovic, to fund Gyokeres’ acquisition.

Juventus plan strategic player sales to buy Gyokeres

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz are expected to be sold for as much as €60 million combined, with Arkadiusz Milik, Mattia Perin, Daniele Rugani, Filip Kostic, Lloyd Kelly and Samuel Mbangula also on the list of anticipated departures.

The players are reportedly considered surplus to requirements for Tudor's 3-4-2-1 formation, and could be discarded in the hope of sealing a big-money transfer for Gyokeres.

The Swedish striker is expected to be sold this summer, even though he has been angered by Sporting failing to honour a gentleman’s agreement for a move away from the Lisbon giants.

The Lions are said to be demanding €70 million plus €10 million in bonuses for Gyokeres, or a flat €80 million to sell the goal machine.

What’s next for Juventus?

Juventus begin their Club World Cup campaign against Al Ain on Thursday before facing Wydad and Manchester City on June 22 and June 26, respectively.
