Real Madrid and Brazil winger Rodrygo’s future reportedly hinges on two key demands as Premier League clubs make approaches.

Rodrygo has reportedly been approached by several Premier League clubs, as his future at Real Madrid remains uncertain.

The Brazilian’s position potentially hinges on direct talks with the club's new head coach, Xabi Alonso.

Having increasingly found himself in the shadow of prominent teammates such as Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo's role reportedly diminished towards the end of last season under former boss Carlo Ancelotti.

Despite recent reports of his discontent, the windeman could reconsider his position if discussions with Alonso prove favourable for both parties.

According to The Athletic, Rodrygo is preparing for a crucial meeting with Alonso and the club, where his future could be decided by two pivotal factors.

Firstly, the 24-year-old reportedly seeks to feel a greater sense of importance within the squad, a sentiment that has reportedly waned since the arrivals of Jude Bellingham in 2023 and Mbappe in 2024.

Secondly, Rodrygo's preferred position is on the left wing, or centrally, rather than the right wing, where he has often been deployed.

However, a positional demand could present a challenge for Alonso, particularly given that Vinicius Jr, last year's Ballon d'Or runner-up, consistently occupies the left-wing role.

Arsenal are closely monitoring Rodrygo's situation and have reportedly approached the Brazilian, hoping to entice him to North London.

Manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly convinced that the Brazilian could play a significant role in the Gunners' pursuit of silverware, especially after they secured a third consecutive second-place finish in the Premier League last season.

What’s next for Arsenal?

Arsenal hope to finalise more extensions and incomings before the start of pre-season in July.
