The 22-year-old striker had initially travelled to Munich for medicals to complete a loan move to Bayern; however, Chelsea called him back before the move became official after the unfortunate injury to Liam Delap.

Jackson refused to return even on Bayern's advice. According to fresh reports from Fabrizio, the Bavarians have now drawn up fresh terms with Chelsea and will sign the Senegal international.

Jackson's conviction

As Pulse Sports reported, Bayern Munich reached an agreement with Chelsea on August 30th to sign Jackson on loan. The Bavarians were set to pay a €15 million loan fee plus an option to buy for €80 million.

However, Chelsea recalled Jackson and cancelled the loan before the move became official after Delap suffered an injury in their Premier League clash against Fulham.

Jackson refused to return, with his agent expressing similar sentiments via Instagram with quotes like “the plane doesn't go back.” Chelsea's stance remained that the deal would only continue if Bayern were willing to buy Jackson outright.

Bayern reach an agreement

According to Fabrizio Romano, Bayern kept the deal alive, even after informing Jackson that he would have to return to London at Chelsea's request.

They have now reached an agreement to sign the striker to a loan deal as initially agreed but with an obligation to buy at the end of the season instead of the "option to buy" included in the first offer.

The loan fee increased to €16.5 million, but it is unclear at the time of writing whether the buy clause remained at €80 million now that it is mandatory. Meanwhile, Chelsea recalled Marc Guiu, who was loaned to Sunderland.
