Nigeria and Super Eagles star Victor Boniface netted a historic goal made in Africa as Bayer Leverkusen completed the Bundesliga season as Invincibles.

Super Eagles sensation Victor Boniface wrote his name into Bundesliga folklore, netting a historic made-in-Africa strike as Bayer Leverkusen completed an unprecedented unbeaten season to be crowned Invincibles.

It was a moment of sheer brilliance from the African duo of Boniface and Moroccan star Amine Adli that set the tone for Leverkusen's final day triumph over Augsburg on Saturday afternoon.

Just 12 minutes into the contest, Adli showcased his relentless pressing, robbing the Augsburg goalkeeper before unselfishly teeing up his fellow African to break the deadlock.

The champions weren't done there, as Robert Andrich's remarkable back heels just before the half-hour mark saw Leverkusen double their advantage, silencing the traveling Augsburg faithful at the break.

Though the visitors mounted a spirited comeback after the break, Boniface's early strike proved pivotal as Leverkusen held firm to write their names into Bundesliga immortality as first-ever Invincibles.

The Nigerian marksman's 14th goal of a sensational campaign capped a historic achievement for the German giants, becoming the first side in Bundesliga history to complete an entire season without tasting defeat.
