Al-Ahli's new signing Roberto Firmino was mobbed by jubilant fans as he arrived in Saudi Arabia to begin a new chapter.

Firmino left Liverpool at the end of his contract and signed for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, becoming one of many superstars to swap Europe for the Middle East this summer.

The 31-year-old Liverpool icon won five major trophies in his 8 years at Anfield and will be fondly remembered as one of the greatest Brazilians to grace the Premier League.

A move to the Saudi Pro League for Firmino may perhaps be surprising considering he is only 31, but the Brazil international has opted for an exit from the spotlight in a league that can only keep growing.

He ended his Liverpool career with 111 goals for the Reds, forming one of world football's most fearsome front threes with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
