Liverpool are prepared to offer €50,000,000 for Araujo, a sum that would be very welcome for Barcelona, who continue to face financial challenges, according to Football Insider.

Araujo missed a significant portion of the autumn season last year due to injury, and upon his return to the pitch, he was no longer a guaranteed starter. The situation hasn't improved this season.

Liverpool defender search

Liverpool will be in need of a central defender as Ibrahima Konate is expected to depart Anfield at the end of the season. According to British media he has refused to extend his contract, which expires next June, and reportedly has a verbal agreement with Real Madrid.

Konate is believed to be unhappy with Liverpool's financial offer. He is also being courted by Real Madrid, as part of their current strategy of acquiring elite talent upon contract expiration.. A tactic which has seen them snap up Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool.
