Report: 'If they still want me, we will talk again in May' — Osimhen tells director about Man United

The details of Victor Osimhen’s alleged conversation in which he rejected Manchester United’s approach have been released. 

The 26-year-old is currently on a season-long loan at Galatasaray, but a clause in his contract allows him to leave the Cim-Bom should Napoli receive an acceptable offer in January. 

They reportedly received an offer they were prepared to accept from Manchester United; however, as Pulse Sports reported, Osimhen rejected it, to the chagrin of the Partenopei hierarchy. 

The Naples-based side had banked on selling the Nigerian this January and planned their transfer window accordingly. 

Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna reportedly travelled to Turkey to inform the former Lille pointman of Manchester United’s interest and offer. However, according to Turkish sources, Osimhen told him, "If they still want me, we will talk again in May."

The writing on the wall is clear; the Super Eagles ace intends to see out his Galatasaray contract. He promised fans of the Turkish champions he would stay till the end earlier in the season. 

The former CAF POTY stuck to his guns when his resolve was tested, underscoring the loyalty he already has for Galatasaray fans.
