Real Madrid's captain Dani Carvajal is set to discuss with Lamine Yamal after El Clasico.
Real Madrid captain Dani Carvajal will reportedly speak to Lamine Yamal after the El Clásico, following the recent controversial comments the teenager made about Los Blancos.
What happened
The 18-year-old had a viral conversation with popular Spanish streamer Ibai Llanos, in which he suggested that Real Madrid gain favours from referees and how he has scored at the Santiago Bernabéu.
According to Marca, these comments did not go down well with members of the Real Madrid dressing room, as they view the comments as unprofessional, especially ahead of such an encounter.
Carvajal to step in
Per the report, there are concerns that the comments could be the genesis of disharmony in the Spanish national team camp; hence, Real Madrid captain plans to speak to him to arrest the situation.
Carvajal has previously defended Yamal amid public scrutiny, urging the public to consider the teenager's age and the level of responsibility he is already being saddled with.
The first El Clásico of the season will be hosted by Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. Both teams will lock horns on Sunday at 4:15 pm.
