Despite Osimhen giving Galatasaray a commanding 3-1 lead with a second-half penalty, Galatasaray still capitulated to two late goals as Dynamo Kyiv rescued a point in a 3-3 draw.
Galatasaray throw away two-goal lead in Europa League
Galatasaray took a 2-0 lead in the first half through Davinson Sanchez and Albdulkerim Bardakci, but a goal late in the first half from Vladyslav Vanat gave the away side hope of a comeback.
Osimhen thought he had taken away that hope after his 53rd-minute penalty kick hit the back of the net, but Dynamo Kyiv fought back as substitute and club legend Andriy Yarmolenko scored a late brace to ensure spoils were shared.
Despite the dropped points, Galatasaray are still in with a good chance of reaching the next round of the Europa League as they currently sit fifth on the table with 13 points after seven games.
