Arne Slot has discussed Mohamed Salah's recent barren run since Liverpool won the Premier League title.
Arne Slot has commented on Mohamed Salah’s drought since Liverpool claimed the Premier League title after Monday’s 3-2 defeat by Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Reds star has scored 28 times and assisted 18 this season, placing him one behind the division’s all-time milestone set by Andy Cole (1993/94) and Alan Shearer (1994/95).

Important to me - Salah on the Premier League record he still wants to break
Despite Liverpool already securing the title, Mohamed Salah has revealed his determination to eclipse one Premier League milestone.
Having scored in the 5-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur on April 27, the 32-year-old has since fired blanks against Chelsea, Arsenal and the Seagulls.
The forward had a presentable chance to score against Brighton from the goalmouth but contrived to sed Cody Gakpo’s pass off target.

EPL: Liverpool make history for the wrong reasons against Brighton
Liverpool set an unwanted Premier League record in Monday’s Premier League defeat against Brighton.
Speaking after Monday’s defeat at the Amex, the Dutch manager is of the opinion that the record-chasing forward should be back among the goals sooner or later.

“The first thought that goes through my head when I see a ball moving towards Mo, I am like, 'It's a quite big chance, this could lead to a goal' because that's what Mo normally does,” said Slot after Monday’s loss.
“He has been throughout this season almost un-human, but there were moments in the season where he was human.
“So, it's not the first time that he is not scoring for one or two games in a row, but the good thing for us is that this hardly ever happens and if it happens you can be sure he will score in either the third or fourth game again.”
What’s next for Salah, Liverpool?
Salah heads into Sunday’s final game with Liverpool keen to at least emulate Cole and Shearer, as eclipsing them may be ultimately unattainable.
Liverpool, who, after Monday's Brighton defeat, became the first Premier League champions to go winless in three consecutive top-flight games since claiming the title, host Crystal Palace at Anfield on May 25.
