Liverpool's Premier League match against Brighton on Monday night ended in a loss, leaving the Reds without a win in their last three games.

The Reds have failed to win their last two Premier League games since they became the 2024/2025 champions.

They lost 3-1 to Chelsea and drew 2-2 with Arsenal, leaving them winless heading into the Brighton clash.

Following the game, they also failed to secure a win against Brighton, losing 3-2 at the American Express Stadium.

Brighton's lineup for the game featured Brajan Gruda and Simon Adingra, who replaced Matt O'Riley and Tariq Lamptey from their recent 2-0 victory at Wolves.

Liverpool made four changes from the 2-2 draw against Arsenal, with Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Curtis Jones, and Luis Diaz moved to the substitutes' bench.

Liverpool’s early pressure led to Harvey Elliott opening the scoring for the visitors in the ninth minute of the game.

However, in the 32nd minute, Yasin Ayari restored parity for Brighton, but Dominik Szoboszlai gave Liverpool the lead again just before the half-time break.

Following the loss, Mohamed Salah has also failed to score in his last three games for Liverpool, having scored last in Tottenham's 5-1 thumping.
