Guardiola found himself in a similar situation over the weekend when a refereeing error impacted his team in their draw against Tottenham.
Speaking after the game, Pep was calm and when asked about referee Simon Hooper’s error, Guardiola, implying he would not go on a rant, said he would not do a ‘Mikel Arteta’.
"Next question. I will not do a Mikel Arteta comment,” Guardiola said, per the Independent.

"It is hard when you review the image, the referee decides to blow the whistle after he has already said to play on. After the pass, the whistle, so I do not understand this action.
When asked to address that, Arteta said, "I don't know. I'm not sure. I have enough in my garden and on my plate as well, so let's move on."
