Brazil forward Matheus Cunha has agreed to join Manchester United for £62.5m, but is he the man to change things at Old Trafford?
Manchester United are coming off the worst season in the club's modern history, and one signing will certainly not fix everything, but how much can Cunha realistically add to the side?
The 26-year-old is a maverick footballer who plays by his own rules - sometimes outside the tactical structure of a team. On any given day, you could get a goal of the season contender, or a show of skill that gets the crowd to their feet.

His ability to both score and create makes him a versatile threat, and even more so, with the possibility of Bruno Fernandes leaving the club for Al Hilal. He scoed 17 goals last season, the same number as Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee combined.

However, better players than Cunha have failed at United, and there is no guarantee that this transfer will be a success.
On a positive note, he is 26, just entering his prime, and players like him are hard to come by, even though the price tag may be viewed by many as too steep.
United have other areas of concern. The team is lacking a natural goalscorer and must address that weakness this summer. There is also the lack of a top level midfield controller, with the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo, either being unsuited to the role or just not good enough.

Cunha is expected to be the first of many faces to arrive at Old Trafford this season, but if he is the best of the lot, United fans can expect to have another disappointing season.
