Amad’s injury
Midway through February, the Red Devils injury woes compounded when Amad sustained what was thought to be a season-ending ankle ligament injury in training.
Diallo had been a key player for United this season since Ruben Amorim’s arrival, scoring five of his six Premier League goals under the Portuguese manager.
Hence, the news of his injury came as a big blow to the squad, as Amorim could no longer count on the former Atalanta star.

Diallo returns
While the Red Devils only have pride to play for in the Premier League, they are in the Europa League semi-final and are set for a two-legged fixture against Athletic Club.
Their chances to win the competition have now been boosted by the potential return of Amad, who Fabrizio Romano reports has recovered from injury in record time and will be available for training from next week.
