Liverpool boss Arne Slot analysed his side's victory against Wolves.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot admitted that they still had room for improvement despite the victory against Wolves, highlighting their struggles from set pieces.
The Reds defeated Wolves 2–1 thanks to goals from Ryan Gravenberch and Florian Wirtz—his first for the season. Still, they managed to concede against the worst team in the Premier League, underscoring their defensive frailties this season.
What Slot said
Speaking after the game, Slot noted that they controlled the game and were dominant before the goal they conceded. However, he observed that they had a problem conceding from set plays, as Santiago Bueno’s goal came from one such situation.
"For a long time, until 2-1, it was the way I wanted the game to go," he said, per the BBC. “But then we conceded, and not for the first from a set-piece.
“But the positive thing about all of this is for large parts of the season, when we have conceded a set-piece we have lost the game, but in the last two games we have been able to win. We also understand we have to improve in that part, that's clear and obvious.”
