Barcelona have finally gotten Dani Olmo registered with LALIGA according to reports, after struggling to do so for weeks following his €56 million acquisition from Leipzig.

The 26-year-old was one of the standout stars at the European Championships. Following the competition, Barcelona immediately went on a mission to land him and his fellow Euros winner, Nico Williams. 

They managed to prise Olmo from Leipzig, but their financial constraints prevented them from signing Williams from Athletic Club. Despite managing to bring in the attacking midfielder, he has yet to feature in LALIGA this season, as Barcelona did not have the margins on their wage bill as stipulated by LALIGA FFP regulations. They have seemingly scaled that hurdle, and here is how they managed to do so.

How Barcelona registered Olmo

According to reports from Catalan publication Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have finally been able to register new signing Dani Olmo, who is expected to feature in the midweek LALIGA clash against Rayo Vallecano tomorrow.

The Blaugrana have struggled to accomplish this since, which caused him to miss the opening league games against Valencia and Athletic Club. Despite the large-scale exit operation the Blaugrana embarked on in the last few days, they were still short.

However, the injury to Andreas Christensen turned out to be the way out. The Dane has been ruled out through a foot injury for at least two months. Due to the length of the injury, LALIGA laws permit Barcelona to take advantage of the player's registration spot.
