He is very new — Besiktas defensive midfielder gives honest opinion on Wilfred Ndidi signing
Beşiktaş midfielder Kartal Kayra Yılmaz is looking forward to a season with Wilfred Ndidi, saying that they are aware of Ndidi's quality within the dressing room and have already had a few training sessions with him.
After rumoured links to a number of clubs in Europe, including Manchester United, the 28-year-old was lured by the Black Eagles. He signed a contract until 2028 with the option to extend for an additional year.
What his new teammate said
Ndidi is a high-profile signing for Besiktas and has been the subject of many conversations, especially regarding how well Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are expected to do.
Kayra, who plays a similar role as the Nigerian, was asked about the signing in a recent interview and he maintained cautious optimism.
“Ndidi is a very new signing,” he said, per t24. “We've only had the opportunity to train with him for two or three times.
“We know he's a good player. I hope he adapts to the team in the best way possible and I believe he will contribute greatly to us."
Ndidi expected to do great things at Besiktas
Former Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike billed Ndidi to be a tremendous success for Besiktas and the Turkish Super Lig in general, tagging him a fantastic player and a humble person.
