Castellanos makes history against Real Madrid

In the process, Castellanos became the first Argentinian player to score four goals against Real Madrid in a LaLiga game.

Lionel Messi tormented Real Madrid in LaLiga for several seasons but never managed to score four goals against them during his time in Spain.

Taty also became the first player to score four goals against Real Madrid since Robert Lewandowski did so in the 2013 UEFA Champions League semi-final while playing for Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

Castellanos also became the fifth player to score four home goals against Real Madrid with the others being Marti Ventolra (Barcelona) - 1935, Vicente Martinez Catala (Espanyol) - 1940, Emilin (Real Oviedo) - 1944 and Esteban Echevarria (Real Oviedo) - 1947.

Who is Taty Castellanos?

The striker, who was born in Mendoza, Argentina, played in Major League Soccer with New York City FC before moving to Girona for the 2022/23 season.

The 24-year-old Castellanos played for Montevideo City Torque of Uruguay and Universidad de Chile of Chile before moving to the United States.
