Getafe coach says club will help Mason Greenwood return to best form

Getafe coach, Jose Bordalas insists the LaLiga club can help restore the career of Mason Greenwood.

Greenwood, who has joined Getafe on a season-long loan from Manchester United after almost two years of inactivity, will be given a new lease on life according to the Spanish club's coach Jose Bordalas.

The player was charged with attempted rape, controlling, and coercive behaviour in October 2022, charges which have now been dropped.

Bordalas believes Greenwood can return to his best

Bordalas spoke about the situation at great length in the wake of Getafe's 2-1 defeat to Real Madrid.

“It’s too delicate a subject to treat lightly,” he said.

“Everyone knows what happened and the appropriate measures were taken. We can only talk about football, obviously. The relevant bodies did what had to be done.”

"Greenwood is a footballer of an extremely high level and he arrives at Getafe with huge enthusiasm. We will try to help him to get back to his best level.”
