The Cim-Bom have been in negotiations with Napoli for the permanent acquisition of Victor Osimhen and have been able to advance in the talks due to the Partenopei’s insistence on the €75 million release clause. Galatasaray have now made headway.

The Turkish champions are unable to pay Osimhen's €75 million release clause up front, a figure Al Hilal have no qualms about meeting.

However, the Nigerian has no desire to move to the Gulf, informing Napoli to only negotiate with Galatasaray. The 25-time Turkish champions had an initial bid of €50 million turned down and, according to Fabrizio, were prepared to pay up to €70 million but in instalments.

Victor Osimhen ended the season with 37 goals in 41 matches.

Napoli were said to have demanded a bank guarantee, and according to the aforementioned Fabrizio, the Cim-Bom have now secured bank guarantees that they can meet the instalment.

Meanwhile, if Napoli insist on receiving the entire fee up front, Galatasaray will not be able to pay the transfer fee without taking a major financial hit. Should they proceed, they might struggle to register as Nigerian
