Galatasaray cannot sign Lookman — Turkish football expert explains why it can't work

Turkish reporter Ali Naci Kucuk said that Galatasaray could not sign Ademola Lookman following recent reports claiming that the Super Eagles star had presented the Cim-Bom with his salary demands.

As Pulse Sports reported, Galatasaray have re-established contact with Lookman's representatives after engaging in transfer talks last summer. 

Okan Buruk, Galatasaray’s manager, fancies Lookman and is eager to bring him to Istanbul. Lookman is also open to the move and has told the Turkish champions he wants an annual salary of €9 million, according to reports. 

Atalanta are expected to demand €60 million for the Nigeria international. Including his wage demands, Kucuk analysed that the Lions would struggle to come up with the finances. 

“For Ademola Lookman is out of the question. Atalanta’s asking price for Lookman is €60 million,” Küçük was quoted as saying, per the Daily Post. 

“Galatasaray paid those prices for Victor Osimhen. So, he won't be able to come. A transfer for Lookman to Galatasaray is unlikely.”

Meanwhile, Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has provided some specific details on how they are funding Victor Osimhen’s transfer from Napoli, revealing the amount they expect from a sponsor for the deal.
